Announcing High-Volume Sender Tools
Over the past few months, we have been hard at work designing new tools to help high-volume senders achieve the best delivery results possible. Our goal: to provide more transparency of delivery results (and therefore ROI) by placing the control and responsibility back in the senders hands.
Designing HTML Emails: Suggestions
In a world that lacks uniformity and common standards for email clients, designing an HTML email that will work in all of them (even most of them) seems like a difficult task. We’ve created an article that contains some guidelines and recommendations to help you design your emails to look good in most of the email clients.
I know that designers, once they see these suggestions, will think we are crazy. Yes, most of these are outdated design standards that every designer hoped would go away (TABLES, anyone?). But, unfortunately too many of your recipients are using email clients that just don’t support the new, fun stuff. It’s just a fact of life at this time. Let’s all hope that one day, we will have smart, uniform standards that will make the lives of senders and recipients much easier.
Check out the article, and let us know if you have any suggestions or questions.
Suppression (Do Not Email) Lists
We often have customers ask us about separating a group of subscribers who should not receive their email campaigns. Some call this a suppression list, or a Do Not Email (DNE) list. Whatever you call it, there is an easy way to do this in Newsberry so I thought it would be helpful to quickly outline it.
View email client statistics with Fingerprint
Ever wondered what email clients your subscribers use to open emails? There are so many (Gmail, Outlook, MSN, etc) and they all render HTML differently, so knowing what your subscribers are using may be important when designing custom HTML emails. This will help you design based on the most popular clients in your subscriber base.
New HTML Editor
In the last few months, our existing WYSIWYG editor (HTML editor) has been causing some customers tons of grief. We realized quickly that we needed to find a better solution, but that’s not always so easy. Today we launched a new editor that we’re sure will make editing campaigns much easier, and in ALL browsers.
Beta Testers Needed – Send free for three months
We have some really cool, top secret tools we are working on in Newsberry. We’re looking for a handful of new companies to help beta test. As part of the process, we will give you free use of Newsberry for three months. The beta is for features not related to sending, so sending and campaigns will still be 100% stable. Here are the requirements:
- You send more than once per month to over 10,000 subscribers
- Your campaigns follow can-spam laws and you do not send to rented lists
- You already use some variation of an email system for current campaigns
- You can keep a secret :)
We’re extremely excited to get this out to the public. If you are interested, please email us at support@newsberry.com with some information about your company, email campaigns, and lists. We can only accept a small group, so be sure to apply quickly.
Unsubscribe Exit Surveys with Wufoo
Ever wonder why people unsubscribe from your list? We recently released a feature that allows you to show a custom Unsubscribe confirmation page. We had a lot of requests for it, especially with so many international customers needing it in different languages. With this new feature, we decided to do study to see why users were unsubscribing from our Beanstalk list. Here’s what we did.
