Using Twitter for unsubscribe retention
From time to time I clean up my inbox of newsletters that I don’t read anymore. Since in most cases I signed up to receive it, I do the polite thing and simply unsubscribe. Today I ran across a really nice technique while unsubscribing from a CollabNet newsletter and wanted to share it.
Suppression (Do Not Email) Lists
We often have customers ask us about separating a group of subscribers who should not receive their email campaigns. Some call this a suppression list, or a Do Not Email (DNE) list. Whatever you call it, there is an easy way to do this in Newsberry so I thought it would be helpful to quickly outline it.
Unsubscribe Exit Surveys with Wufoo
Ever wonder why people unsubscribe from your list? We recently released a feature that allows you to show a custom Unsubscribe confirmation page. We had a lot of requests for it, especially with so many international customers needing it in different languages. With this new feature, we decided to do study to see why users were unsubscribing from our Beanstalk list. Here’s what we did.
Target subscribers based on behavior
You may not recognize me, but you will be seeing a lot more of me in the coming months. I recently joined Wildbit to help with Newsberry as the service continues to grow. I’ll be responsible for customer service, improving your delivery, and giving the product the close attention it needs. We just released an exciting new tool in Newsberry, behavioral targeting. Now you can target and segment subscribers based on who opened emails, clicked links, and which emails bounced. This new tool will help you maximize response and create follow up emails based on subscriber behavior.
